CBD oil is a product extracted from the cannabis plant, a plant that occurs in nature. The cannabis plant includes both marijuana and hemp from which the extracts are acquired and further manufactured industrially into the oil. CBD is one of the 120 products extracted which is also referred to as a cannabinoid.

How Does CBD Oil Work in the Human Body System?

The human body’s internal system has its biological system called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) that is responsible for producing the body’s endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids are neurotransmitters that are found all over the central nervous system and regulate various functions of the body.

They are the primary receptors of the brain and immune system that receive signals from all parts of the body and make the cells enact accordingly to those signals. CBD oil also contains cannabinoids. Visit for more information.

However, in contrast to tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD cannabinoids do not attach themselves to the receptors rather they indirectly activate or inhibit hormones in the body through multiple pathways.

This means if an individual uses CBD oil to help with pain, CBD oil will work along with the endocannabinoids to inhibit the pain-causing hormones and give relief to the person or at least reduce the pain. Visit here for more

Types of Pain CBD Reduces:

There is still no definite research on if CBD can completely cure pain-inducing diseases. However, it has been used for years for pain relief and more people are going for it every day as opposed to over-the-counter medicine. In many cases, patients have stated a significant reduction in pain with the use of CBD oil. Here are a few diseases CBD oil is known to have worked for while studies on it continue:

  • Arthritis Pain: Arthritis is a disease that attacks the joints of the body particularly knees, elbows, shoulders, ankles, wrists, and hands. Arthritis further consists of two types; osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Both mainly involve damage to joints leading to symptoms such as pain, swelling, decreased mobility. Applying CBD oil at the damaged areas can help reduce inflammation and pain.
  • Multiple Sclerosis: Multiple Sclerosis involves deterioration of the autoimmune system. This is caused by damage to the nerves which progressively gets worse and the nerves deteriorate to a point where they can no longer send and receive signals to and from the brain. Major symptom patients of this disease face are muscle spasms. CBD oil works with the receptors to help decrease the occurrence and levels of these spasms.
  • Chronic Pain: Chronic pain is a continuous pain that lasts weeks and can either be unbearable or dull, continuous or occasional. Chronic pain is a disease that can affect a patient’s life with no actual solution other than painkillers such as opioids. CBD can help reduce this pain as well as help with the inflammation in the patient’s body as well as discomfort by calming them down. Hence, CBD can prove to be a much better alternative as compared to medicine that can become habit-forming.
  • Cancer Pain: The excessive growth of defected cells is what is referred to as cancer. Cancer has no definite cure yet other than chemotherapy and radiation which shrink and eliminate cells using drugs and ionizing radiations. CBD can be used for two purposes here; to shrink cancer cells, however, this theory is not yet confirmed, and to reduce the pain as well as the side effects of chemo for cancer patients.
