If you want your eyelash extensions to get applied perfectly and thus look beautiful, and last longer, you can do a few things before reaching the salon. Here they are.
1. Stop Using Mascara for 3 Days
The ingredients in products like waterproof mascara tend to remain stuck to your lashes, even though you clean your lashes properly.
This will stop the extension glue from getting properly bonded to your lashes and as a result, you’ll have premature lash loss.
2. Freshly Clean Face and Perfectly Clean Lashes
Oil and makeup residues will just prevent the lash adhesive from appropriately bonding. It’s important to remember, do not reach the salon wearing makeup.
Your lash technician should not need more than a few minutes to cleanse and prepare your lashes for the extensions. It’ll be a waste of her expertise and your money.
It’s perfectly fine to wear facial and brow makeup. And if you have to wear eye makeup for the day, it’s advisable to book an appointment at the start of the day.
3. Avoid Oil-based Eye Makeup Products
Oil is harmful for the lash adhesive. Thus if you use oil-based eye makeup products, avoid using them before applying the best eyelash extensions Sydney from Fancy Lash for example.
Remember to avoid oil-based makeup remover too. If you use it, make sure it’s removed completely from your eyes.
4. Reach Salon Freshly Showered and with Clean Hair
Firstly you are not going to get a chance to wet your lashes for the first 24 hours after the application. Secondly, cyanoacrylate, an ingredient of lash glue, requires moisture to appropriately cure.
However excessive moisture will cause premature lash loss. Showers, saunas, steam and crying are not allowed for the first 24-48 hours after the application of lash extensions.
So, it’s better to take a shower and clean your hair before the appointment.

5. Remove Contact Lenses
If you wear contact lenses, make sure you remove them before your appointment. Instead wear glasses while visiting the salon. Application of contact lens solution will wet the lashes.
Removing contact lenses is a safety precaution and makes sure you leave the salon with happy eyes and eyelashes.
6. Get Treatments First and Extensions Last
If you are going to get any kind of facial beauty treatment that involves cleansing or steam, you should schedule it before your lash appointment.
If you want to do it after applying your hybrid lash extensions according to Fancy Lash for example, you should do it after at least 48 hours.
7. Dye Lashes 24-48 Hours Before Extension Application
Just like oil and excessive moisture, the chemical ingredient in lash tint can prevent the lash glue from properly bonding or from bonding at all.
Therefore if you want to dye your lashes, do it at least 24 to 48 hours before your lash extension appointment.
Make proper preparations using the above tips and get perfect lash extensions.
