Teleassistance

MEDeTIC uses domotics to set up solutions of teleassistance. Thanks to the capacity of remote control of the environment (lights, shutters, etc...), movement detection and intrusion detection, domotic can already provide tools of tele-control.

Equipement domotique d'un appartement To answer to health alerts (falls, medical monitoring, prevention and aggravation of disease, personalized weather alerts, etc...), the technological research of MEDeTIC in matter of electronic, domotic, computer sciences, communication, ensure today to produce many innovations and create a new example of housing and following of senior. Flats are fully equipped with a domotic system.

The idea is to follow an elderly or handicapped person (or couple) who is living alone in his environment and taking care not to disturb his habits by uses of traditional sensors : crossing detectors, movements, light, presence... in order to realize with artificial intelligence a detection of any unusual situation and remedy as quickly as possible after sending an alert.

We try to promote the criteria of acceptability by taking into account from the conception of constraints link to appropriation of a technical help like learning and adaptation to a psychosocial situation of users or the constraints link to technical aspects (reliability, accuracy, portability, etc...).

The integration of existing or emergent technologies on the market, even if it often requires more or less substantial adaptations for heavy handicapped people, will encourage the emergence of new services at affordable price.

The originality of this system is to develop generic tools to prototype systems of domestic control constituent of the housing like “wily house” of today for the aged and the infirm and for the general public.

In combination with auto measure devices (tensiometer, scales, glucometer...), the bringing-in of teleassistance will ensure:

During our work of improvement of systems and research of optimization of costs, we have established partnerships with the manufacturer Schneider Electric.

We have also installed a flat which is used as experimental laboratory. Next year we will equip a “show house” in Alsace to be functional from 2009.
