Residences seniors « Maisons Vill'Âge »

MEDeTIC created a residence with services concept, called « Maisons Vill'Âge » with 25 to 50 dwelling units, organized as public or private divided co-ownership of immovable for seniors or retired person. The accommodation includes new information and communication technologies with full amenities, security and comfort for residents. The services residence guidelines are based on home support.
The « Maisons Vill’Âge » are securized and adapted residences with services to senior including health monitoring and social network.

MEDETIC concept is an intermediate way between current senior house and traditional elderly houses. MEDETIC Residence with services can welcome people between 65 to 85 year old, still self sufficient but not particularly able to deal with gardening and maintenances duties. People can also find all appropriate services for comfortable life.

However, MEDETIC residences with services are not directly nursing home. Consequently according to French law, it won’t be necessary to require public administrative authorization referenced as CROSMS such as elderly houses (EHPA). The residents are free to select their own household services, service provider or their own physician/doctor.

MEDETIC is currently working with computer specialists, engineers, architects, social workers, to create new ethics in senior caring in connection with local authorities and associations. Consequently, MEDETIC developed the concept of « Maisons VILL’AGE », residence with new technologies and human services. Our services are designed for new residence construction or for current home. Accommodations of the Residence may be bought or rent by residents. According to French Tax Laws, the purchaser should apply for income tax benefit or Value tax added (De Robien, Borloo, Professional Rentals Laws).

The architectural side is essential in MEDETIC concept including respect of handicapped and environmental building standards. Following the new wave of ecology, architectural rendering of the residence is based on public certification label such as HQE (High environmental quality) and THPE (very high energetic performance). These building standards allow drawing affordable wood residence.

Finally, in order to pioneer, to offer innovative solution and to share new technologies benefits, the Residence with services are entirely equipped with domotics systems. The idea is to assist alone Senior and handicapped person, without disturbing their current environment, by using artificial intelligence and to remedy to various abnormal situations as quickly as possible.

This kind of home has been created in order to facilitate habitant life by using teleassistance and home automation. The home automation use is easy to be understood by every people. All functions are available by a TV interface and may be controlled by simplified main remote control. Obviously, a huge part of MEDETIC research is dedicated to produce and provide easy, ergonomics and useful tools.
