Other contributions of TIC in health
In order to properly organize the gerontological sector, we need geographical division of the country to regionalize the network of services. The purpose is to provide real time information to all authorized persons of the health network (on laptop or PDA), about the persons in charge. The broadband architecture of the network for seniors is based on a server located in their geographic area concerning the call center. This network is crucial in the coordination of the whole operation of in-home care services.
This portal, developed by MEDeTIC, provides a service of information and advices easy to access for old people and their helpers. We will put at internet users disposal:
- A geolocalized directory of the providers from health services.
- Information and advices for the helpers.
- Information about diseases.
- Information relating to users’ legal rights (following French law).
This website ensures to put in touch specialized networks and old people as well as circle (family, friends, and neighbors).
